Going sweet while keeping the heat – Addison Cole

When people refer to “sweet” romance, they can mean many things — from a sweet love story (with explicit scenes) to a “clean” love story (without graphic scenes or harsh language), both of which may be interpreted differently depending on who you are speaking to.♥

Avid fans of my bestselling, award-winning steamy Love in Bloom romance collection of seven novels (written under my real name Melissa Foster) have been asking me for years to offer the same series without graphic scenes or harsh language so they may refer the love stories to not only their friends who enjoy steamy romance, but also to their friends who enjoy sweeter, cleaner love stories.

What sets the Sweet with Heat series apart from other sweet romances is the chemistry and passion between the characters, the nuances of love, and the desire for another person that comes alive on the page without explicit scenes or naughty language. How can I expect my readers to truly experience the deep love between a hero and his beloved heroine without all of those emotions and anticipation for more?

These stories are literally considered “sweet with heat” because my voice is naturally passionate. These are not PG novels though. They are novels for adults, who want to feel the love and emotions without being in bed with the characters. Throughout Sweet with Heat, I was able to keep the romances free from explicit scenes and harsh language, while maintaining the true passion that allows readers to fall in love alongside the characters while remaining within the expected guidelines for the “sweet” romance genre.

Since releasing my Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series under my alter ego, Addison Cole, I have received so much positive feedback from readers who prefer their romances without the graphic language or intimate scenes, that I will be releasing many more series beyond Seaside Summers.

I am proud of this new venture, and with the first title in the series Read, Write, Love at Seaside available in ebook format for free, I truly hope that all readers of sweet readers will give this incredible new series a chance!

Addison Cole is the sweet alter ego of New York Times and USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. She writes humorous and emotional sweet contemporary romance. She spends her summers on Cape Cod, where she dreams up wonderful love stories in her house overlooking Cape Cod Bay.
